BSQ Autumn Show and Sale

The Bromeliad Society of Queensland invites you to their 2021 Autumn show – the Bromeliad & Tropicals Show & Sales.

Dates and times
Saturday 20th March from 8am to 4pm
Sunday 21st March from 8am to 1pm

Plenty of free parking available onsite.

$4 per person / Cash Only accepted for Entry payment. Free for children under 15 years old.

Free entry for BSQ members. Become a BSQ member.

For garden clubs/societies, discounts are available for groups of 15 or more. Contact us for more information.

Things to do
Buy plants!

There will be a variety of plants for sale from over thirty experienced growers including bromeliads, tropicals, indoor plants, orchids, hoyas, begonias, succulents and many more.

From green thumbs to novice gardeners, you won’t leave empty handed.


Plants will be refreshed throughout the event. Cash and EFTPOS accepted for plant purchases.

Monster Raffle with all proceeds being donated to the Gumdale State School Horticultural Project.
There will be two prizes in the Monster Raffle with each prize worth over $300.

Cost of tickets are:

  • 1 ticket for $2
  • 3 tickets for $5
  • 7 tickets for $10

Cash Only for Raffle Ticket Purchases.
Tickets can be purchased at the Show. Winners for the Monster Raffle will be drawn at 12 noon on Sunday 21st March and will be contacted after the drawing of the prizes. Thanks to the growers for donating the plant prizes.

Become a member of The Bromeliad Society of Queensland!

For only $35 for a single and $40 for a family, you will receive membership for the remainder of 2021. You’ll also get a Welcome pack that includes the 50th Anniversary magazine and a book on either Bromeliads or Tillandsia’s, plus a $10 voucher to spend at the show.

Growers and Society volunteers will be at the event to help you choose the right plants for your garden and answer all your questions. Come and say hello, we love talking about broms!

There will also be a selection of Bromeliad & Tillandsia books available for purchase.

Take a break

After filling a box or two full of plants, take a break, there will be plant minding facilities available.

Enjoy the refreshments being sold in the cafe by the Gumdale State School P & C Association.

The event is being held in accordance with current COVID-19 Safe Guidelines.
