Terms and Conditions: Autumn Show 2019

Lucky Door Prize

  1. The Promoter is the Bromeliad Society of Queensland Inc (BSQ), PO Box 565, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, ABN: 53 109 297 828. The ‘Event’ is the Bromeliad & Tropicals Show & Sales – Autumn Show 2109, held on 6-7 April 2019 at Genesis Christian College, Bray Park QLD.
  2. Instructions on how to enter form part of the conditions of entry. Entry shall be deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
  3. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over. Committee members of the Promoter and their immediate families, directors, management, related companies, and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, stepparent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
  4. There is a payment of AU $4 entry fee for non-members and AU $0 entry fee for BSQ members at the Event to enter the competition.
  5. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  6. Entry to the competition is by attending the Event. Upon entry, a Lucky Door Prize entry form will be available to the entrant.
  7. Only one entry per person per day will be accepted during the Event.
  8. The competition commences on Saturday 6 April 2019 and closes on Sunday 7 April 2019. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
  9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  10. The rules of the competition are as follows: Upon entry to the Event, an entrant must fill out the entry form and place it in the Lucky Door container.
  11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  12. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  13. The prize is as follows:
    A number of plants with a combined value of AU $100.
  14. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable. If the prize or any part of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter will endeavour but is not obliged to provide a substitute prize of equivalent value.
  15. The winner will be chosen at random from all entries received and verified by the Promoter. The draw will occur at 12 noon on Sunday 7th April 2019 and announced at the Event. The winner does not need to be present at the Event.
  16. The winner will be announced over the speaker system at the Event after the draw.
  17. If the winner is not present at the Event they will be notified after the draw. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted within 10 working days from initial contact, they will forfeit any and all right to the prize.
  18. The winner can collect the prize at the Event should they be present. Other arrangements can be made between the Promoter and winner for collection of the prize. If the prize cannot be collected, the Promoter may substitute the prize at their discretion.
  19. The Promoter, their agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
  20. The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for the prize or entries being damaged, late, or lost.
  21. The Bromeliad Society of Queensland, the Promoter and any contractors, employees and agents associated with both organisations, will not be liable for claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect/inconsequential loss) as a result of, arising out of, or in any way connected with the competition and/or its prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Monster Raffle

  3. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over.
  4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  5. Entry to the competition is by attending the Event and purchasing raffle tickets.
  6. There is no limit to the number of raffle tickets that can be purchased.
  7. The competition commences on Saturday 6 April 2019 and closes on Sunday 7 April 2019. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  9. The rules of the competition are as follows: An entrant must purchase raffle tickets and provide their contact details. The cost of the raffle tickets are:
    • 1 ticket for $2
    • 3 tickets for $5
    • 7 tickets for $10
  10.   14. There will be two winners. The two winners will be chosen at random from all entries received and verified by the Promoter. The draws will occur at 12 noon on Sunday 7th April 2019 and announced at the Event. The winner does not need to be present at the Event.
  15. The winners will be announced consecutively over the speaker system at the Event after each draw.
  16. If the winners are not present at the Event they will be notified by telephone after the draw. In the event that the winners cannot be contacted within 10 working days from initial contact, they will forfeit any and all right to the prize.
  17. The winners can collect the prize at the Event should they be present. Other arrangements can be made between the Promoter and winners for collection of the prize. If the prize cannot be collected, the Promoter may substitute the prize at their discretion.

    A AU $100 voucher to used at the Event. Vouchers are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Vouchers must be used in one transaction. Any unused amount will be forfeited. BSQ is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen vouchers.

  6. The winner will be notified by DM on Facebook or Instagram within two working days from the competition closing date. In the event that the winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours from initial contact, a replacement winner will be chosen by the Promoter and the original winner will forfeit any and all right to the prize. If no winners can be contacted by 5pm on Friday 2 November 2018, the prize is forfeited.
  7. The Promoter, their agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any late, lost or misdirected entries.
