The 22nd Australasian Bromeliad Conference – Aussie Broms 2025 – has been launched! The theme is ‘Exploring Beauty and Diversity’.
The Bromeliad Society of Queensland invites the global bromeliad community to participate.
The dates are now set, 4th-7th November 2025, at the Eaton’s Hill Hotel on the north side of Brisbane. The date change (from October 28 – 31) was prompted by a clash for accommodation with a sporting group.
The website can be accessed at Aussie Broms 2025 Conference, a Facebook page will also be live soon.
We have special rates at the venue, which is a 4.5-star boutique hotel, to book for accommodation follow this link and scroll through to November to access the special rates – IBE – Dates of stay | Eatons Hill Hotel.
The hotel link for accommodation will give registrants the discounted rate. There is a limited number of rooms so best to get in early. More expensive rooms are also available via the hotel’s website.
There will be a fantastic line up of experienced and world class speakers – Leonardo Versieux (Brazil), Chester Skotak (Costa Rica), Jose Manzanares (Ecuador), Dylan Zoller (USA), Pamela Koide-Hyatt (USA), Bruce Holst (USA), Andrew Devonshire (New Zealand), Graeme Barclay (New Zealand), Mal and Michelle Cameron (Australia) and George Stamatis (Australia). They will cover so many aspects of our beloved bromeliads.
Expect a competitive show featuring the best of the best, a rare plant auction with a surprise section or two, plant sales including many highly desirable species and cultivars, many new bromeliad releases, bus tours… and a banquet, of course. A program will be posted soon.
So please check the website regularly for updates.
With less than a year to plan, the committee and I are working hard to offer a wonderful experience for you all.
See you in November!
